There
are two entrances into the main auditorium, the principal one leading
off the foyer and a staircase to the upper seating area. For our disabled
patrons, there is easy access from the Ashley Centre car park, which also
has clearly marked parking bays. The entrance Foyer is at street level
and adjacent to the Foyer there are disabled toilet facilities. Wheelchair
access to the right side stalls is via a separate entrance. Please contact
the Duty Manager on arrival to gain access to this entrance. The Epsom
Playhouse holds a Highly Commended Award from the Queen Elizabeth Foundation
for disabled people.
On every performance, there are stewards on hand to show you to your seats.
There are four Emergency Exits should the need arise.
Main Stalls: 366 seats
17 rows numbered AA to M with 18 seats numbered 1 to 18. No 1 being the nearest to the Entrance/Exit. With a further 3 rows numbered N to Q with 20 seats numbered 1 to 20. No 1 being the nearest to the Entrance/Exit.
All seats are well-ranked giving good visibility of the stage.
N.B. On certain performances certain rows and side stalls will be taken
out.
Side Stalls and Wheelchair availability: 16 seats
Both the right and left-hand side stalls are able to accommodate up to
four wheelchairs per side. These are on the same level as the Stage and
have easy access. Although situated at the sides of the Auditorium the
seats are at an angle towards the Stage. They are numbered 1 to 8. Seat
No.8 being nearest to the Stage.
Side Boxes: 46 seats
These are located upstairs on the same level as Row L (third row from
the back of the Main Stalls) and consist of four boxes to the left and
right hand side of the Main Stalls. Each side has 23 seats, seat 23 being
nearest to the stage. The seats can be placed at an angle towards the
stage except for those numbered 1 to 5 which are fixed and have a slight
viewing restriction.
On certain performances, because of the nature of the 'set up', seats 22
and 23 may also have a restricted view. Where at all possible we do
try to advise patrons at the time of booking if these seats will be restricted.
Please note that these seats are not suitable for small children.
Bar Stools: 22 seats
These are called bar stools purely by their design and not next to the
Bar! They are located behind the boxes to the right and left sides and
are 11 to each side. Owing to the restricted viewing these seats are obtainable
at a reduced rate on most performances, but will not be offered for sale
until all other seats are sold. Please note that these seats are not suitable
for young children, anyone with a disability or the elderly.
