Satisfied Eye International Film Festival
Epsom & Ewell welcomes it's first every international film festival this October.
The Satisfied Eye International Film Festival (you'll have to come along to find out where it got its name!) runs from 26-28 October with a theme of Women Heroes.
A long weekend of film and documentary screenings, workshops, an international street food market and Q&As kicks off with a dramatic Star Wars themed opening ceremony; and culminates in a glamorous red carpet awards ceremony at the historic Queen’s Stand, Epsom Racecourse.
There’ll even be free popcorn (courtesy of Jo & Seph’s), crafts, family screenings and free events for children.
The beating heart of our event is the wonderful selection of films themselves, screened at the Epsom Playhouse, and our panel has narrowed down a selection of the best new independent features, short films, animation and documentary, submitted from over 35 countries with filmmakers flying in from around the world to attend.
Our judging panel includes Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy winners and there’ll be a few familiar names and faces as well as Q&As with a variety of industry alumni, from a multi-award-winning local director to the likes of Dominique Pinon.
There is something for everyone and as an event that brings together both the industry and the community, it’s the first festival on the planet to combine great films with the world’s best brownies, casting workshops and the chance to get your face painted like Spiderman.
