Injunction

On 20 May 2019 the High Court granted an Injunction lasting 3 years forbidding Persons Unknown Occupying Land and / or Depositing Waste from:

(1)    Setting-up an encampment of 10 vehicles or more on any Land identified on the attached Map (see below) on the 57 sites listed, without written permission from the Local Planning Authority, or planning permission granted by a planning inspector;

(2)     Occupying any part of the Land for residential purposes (temporary or otherwise) with 10 or more vehicles identified on the attached Map on the 57 sites listed, including caravans, mobile  homes, vehicles, and residential paraphernalia without written permission from the Local Planning Authority, or planning permission granted by a Planning Inspector;

(3)     Bringing on to the Land identified on the attached Map on the 57 sites listed, any vehicle whether for the purposes of disposal of waste and materials or otherwise, other than when driving through the Borough of Epsom & Ewell or in compliance with the Parking Orders regulating the use of car parks or with express permission from the owners of the Land.

The Land in this Order means all Land within the Epsom and Ewell Borough Council identified on the attached Map on the 57 sites listed.

The Injunction Order contains a Penal Notice which means anyone breaching it may be held in contempt of court and may be imprisoned, fined or have their assets seized. The Injunction Order remains in force until midnight on 15 May 2022.
