Join us for a festive evening of theatre, film and TV talk, as two much-loved actors take us behind the scenes of, between them, over one hundred years in the entertainment industry.
One of the most recognisable actors in Britain, Derek Martin is best known for his role as Charlie Slater in eastenders, a part he played for over ten years. Derek first found fame starring in Law and Order, King and Castle with Nigel Planer, The Governor and The Chinese Detective, having begun his performing career as stunt man in Doctor Who, alongside Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. James Cagney and Robert Wagner are among Derek’s highest profile co-stars, who we’ll be finding out about this evening!
Colin spaull trained at the famous Italia Conti Stage School in London and went on to work with films stars ranging from Peter Sellers, Alfred Hitchcock and David Niven, plus, on television, Doctor Whos David Tennant, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Paul mcgann and even the original, William Hartnell! From the West End to the Old Vic, along with Inspector Morse, The Last Detective, The Inbetweeners, The Brittas Empire and many more, Colin’s credits are a role-call of a Golden Age of television!
