Get ready for a night of side-splitting comedy as The Comedy Club, one of the most recognised and respected names in the comedy industry, brings four of the finest comedians from TV straight to your doorstep! This unforgettable event at the amazing Epsom Playhouse promises a dynamic blend of comedic styles, ensuring there's something for everyone. This months line-up includes Roger Monkhouse, Peter Brush, Shazia Mirza, and Jonny Awsum.

MC: Roger Monkhouse

Roger Monkhouse is a supreme stand-up Comedian who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to wield a masterful control over any comedy club audience. A highly original and quirky performer, Roger’s trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit. Supremely confident, with audience banter down to an art form, Roger is happy to improvise freely but has no shortage of first-class material in his armoury. A master of observational comedy with a routine that is universally and unfailingly hysterical. A sought-after compere and headliner across the UK and internationally.

As seen on Paramount’s The Comedy Store and The World Stands-Up

Act 1: Peter Brush

A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor-sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion. Peter performs at all the major clubs across the UK, as well as having done many of its biggest festivals, he has also played shows in Switzerland, Norway and Hungary. Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, he has written for several BBC Radio 4 shows and was the support act for Alexei Sayle’s most recent tour. Other acts he has supported on tour include Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Jonathan Pie, Geoff Norcott, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha.

Act 2: Shazia Mirza

Shazia Mirza is an award-winning British standup comedian and writer.

Shazia’s TV appearances include; ‘QI’ (BBC), ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ (ITV), ‘The Hit List’ (BBC), ‘House of Games’ (BBC), ‘Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains’ (Comedy Central), ‘Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls’ (C4), ‘Travel Man’ (C4), Top Gear (BBC), ‘The One Show (BBC), ‘Celebrities v Child Genius’ (C4), ‘Celebs In Solitary’ (C5), ‘Loose Women’ (ITV), ‘The Late Late Show’ (RTE) ‘Have I got News for You’ (BBC) and ‘The Wright Stuff’/’Jeremy Vine’ (C5) as well as the ever popular ‘F*** Off, I’m a Hairy Woman’ (BBC).

Act 3: Jonny Awsum

A comedic whirlwind, Jonny has a special feel-good brand of musical comedy. He is the gag slinging guitar hero - audience members don’t just leave entertained; they leave as fans.

Jonny has been performing across the UK and indeed the World, armed with an impressive arsenal of jokes and his trusty guitar. He’s a must for comedy clubs, festivals, corporate events as his crowd-pleasing set sees Jonny regularly ending his sets to standing ovations and demands of an encore. Jonny is a true professional & aims to give all his audiences that feel good laughter factor. Jonny was a huge hit on the UK’s biggest television talent competition ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ after roping in Ant and Dec for his musical extravaganza audition. After his performance, Jonny Awsum received a standing ovation from all four judges, under a shower of silver confetti and praise, which propelled him to the next round. Jonny has also racked up over 50 million views on You Tube. Jonny regularly pops up on TV and radio. He has featured on BBC Breakfast, GMTV, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 5 Live and Absolute Radio.
