Ravel’s Bolero is the music to which Torvill and Dean ice danced their way to a gold medal at Sarajevo in 1984. Most will also recognise Chabrier’s rhapsody for strings, Espana, inspired by the composer’s tour of Spain.
Award winning Scottish saxophonist, Richard Schofield joins us to play the Carmen Fantasy for string, featured in several films.

The inaugural ‘Cognita Sings!’ event is a choral celebration which brings together young singers from local Cognita schools to raise their voices and ‘Reach for the Stars’ together.
Come and watch these young singers show off the results of their hard work in rehearsals and in their workshops on the day by performing a magnificent collection of choral items. Each School Choir will have their chance to shine individually, as well as joining together to perform as a showstopping Massed Choir!
